INTERPRETATION WORKSHOP [2nd EDITION]
WHY AM I HERE AND DOING THIS NOW?
With JOÃO CABRAL
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The workshop will follow the theatrical laboratory model, addressing selected scenes from Chekhov's works such as The Seagull, Uncle Vanya, and The Cherry Orchard. Participants will be divided into groups and will work on these scenes independently. Priority will be given to Stanislavsky's work on character construction, with special attention to the elements that make up the scenes: where, when, and how.
In each session, we will address the following items:
- Warm-up to make the body available,
- Exploring the voice
- Theatrical games - confidence, space, relationship, improvisation
- Analysis of scenes
- Experimentation
