Third weekend: for all ages (and states of mind)
On the final weekend, the Uruguayan company Coriolis joined the children and youth programme with Trapos, presented on two occasions: first at the Casa do Povo of Feteiras, bringing together students from EBJI Padre José Gomes Pereira, and later at the Cineteatro Lagoense, with the support of the Lagoa Municipal Council, open to the general public. A sensitive and accessible performance, conceived for younger audiences — yet one that resonated with all ages.
The Festival came to a powerful close at the Teatro Micaelense with MAY B, by the iconic French company Maguy Marin. Inspired by the universe of Samuel Beckett, this landmark work of international dance-theatre combines movement, silence and poetic imagery to reflect on being, presence and the human condition, leaving behind a lingering sense of wonder, beauty and unease.
