Second weekend: laughter, confrontation and intensity
The second weekend featured the premiere of Atos Únicos (One-Act Plays) by Coletivo POP at the Coliseu Micaelense, a contemporary approach to the world of Chekhov, where the classics found new ways to breathe.
At Domingos Rebelo Secondary School, Companhia La Buffa presented NI FÚ NI FÁ, a physical comedy and visual humour performance that, through the figures of the buffoon and the clown, subverts traditional female archetypes and takes us on a playful, tender and chaotic journey through the dynamics of affection, conflict and complicity between sisters.
The weekend once again came to a close at Estúdio 13 with Un Poyo Rojo, an internationally acclaimed performance. Explosive and magnetic, it blended dance, acrobatics, sport and comedy to explore — with humour and intensity — confrontation, seduction and vulnerability between two bodies on stage, a true physical duel that kept the audience captivated from beginning to end.
