POP 2025

The third edition of the Festival was a true artistic journey, bringing together eight companies and nine performances, spread across three intense weekends filled with movement, forgotten stories, laughter, silence and emotion.

First weekend

The programme opened with three very different artistic proposals. At the Teatro Ribeiragrandense, Duda Paiva Company presented Blind, a delicate yet powerful performance that combines dance, visual theatre and object manipulation, creating a poetic universe that explores themes of rejection, overcoming and discovery — all through the body and imagination.

This was followed by A Noite dos Justos (The Night of the Righteous) by the company Cães do Mar, presented in an unconventional setting: Cervejaria Vulcana, in Ribeira Grande. Blending music and stage presence, this concert-performance brought to light a rarely revisited episode in the history of Terceira Island, revisiting the popular resistance movement known as Justiça da Noite, with energy and a critical spirit.

Closing the weekend, at Estúdio 13 in Ponta Delgada, the company Circolando presented FEEDBACK: an immersive performative experience in which body, sound and technology interact in real time. An invitation to active listening, between memory, noise and presence, transforming the space into a true sensory landscape.
