Instructor: Andrés Bezares
Trained at the prestigious Jacques Lecoq International Theatre School (Paris), Andrés Bezares has developed an extensive career as a creator, performer, and teacher. He has worked with companies in France, Spain, Belgium, and Italy, and is co-founder of Kolectivo Monstrenko. He has been teaching theatre since 2004 and has led workshops in schools and festivals in Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and Japan.
A unique opportunity to explore the grotesque, provocative, and satirical universe of the buffoon with an internationally recognized artist.
Buffoons belong to a world of their own: grotesque, wild, free, and provocative. With a biting and playful gaze, they return to us a distorted and raw vision of reality. They demand a powerful physical presence, extreme imagination, collective play, and an acid humour.
In this training, we explore the buffoon as an irreverent theatrical figure who moves between heaven and hell, in contrast and complementarity with the clown—where the buffoon laughs at pain, and the clown embraces it.
An intense, physical, and playful journey through the realms of physical theatre and poetic provocation.
