Storyteller at festivals all over the world, he is an actor, director, playwright and recognised promoter of the storytelling movement that emerged in Galicia in the nineties.

The Galician boom of storytellers started in the 90s in the emblematic Bar Atlántico, Sala Galán and Sala Nasa, where a generation blossomed that combines traditional storytelling, epic scene and literary cabaret, with its own style.

In the theater area, he is part of the Producións Teatrais Excéntricas project, where he directed his penultimate success “O Porco de Pé”, after others such as “A Cabeza do Dragón”, “Un cráneo Furado” or “Medida X Medida”.

He says he was born in Ribeira in 1960 into a tavern family of peasant origin, that he studied in different schools that practiced physical violence as a pedagogical method, that he went to university to study History and Geography and, although he did not finish the course, this remains his vocation.

International Theater Festival in the Island of São Miguel, which will take place in November and December, with the aim of boosting and promoting the quality of the artistic offer. The programme favours shows of various origins and contemporary creative languages, focusing on migration and gender issues, promoting inclusion in its various modalities. INFINITE ORAL NARRATORY WORKSHOP - THE ART OF STORYTELLING [WORKSHOP FROM 4th TO 9th SEPTEMBER]

The river of the story we make collectively continues to flow between us every time we go out into the street or we enter a bar. Every time we have an encounter with someone else and we rub our antennae to inform, recognise, enrich, console, stimulate, amuse, enlighten... That's all, do what we already knew, and recognise that it is an artistic activity, like singing and dancing. We only have to learn a few steps and some melodies. Then just tell.

PROGRAMME CONTENTS:

-Identification of types of auditorium.

-Building the the pact with the audience.

-Supports and directions: The quality of the gaze.

-The three rhythms: Of the audience. Of the story. Of the narrator. How to explore their relationships.

-The narrator's capital: the repertoire. How to administer it? How to save it? How badly waste it?

-The structure of narration: the order of materials. The rigid structure. The flexible structure.

-The oralisation of non-oral materials... How to unfreeze the written text?

-Developing tools to incorporate auxiliary memories, "artificial", into one's own memory, "natural".

-The purpose of the workshop is to present these themes in a way that weaves between theory and practice, without the enthusiasm of the experience hiding the general concepts or the technical indications frustrating the fluency of the practices.

-We will experiment with the "card castle" of the plot. A practical study of what it means to change the place of narrative materials, from the use of flashback to other less obvious methods.

-We will also work on expanding the gaze, from the proximity of the coffee table or the public bench, to the large auditoriums. The aim is to transform complicity and maintain candour in the face of this amplification of the receiver.
