Nascida nos Açores Sara Rodrigues Cabral dedica a sua vida à dança e ao teatro. No inicio da sua carreira participa
Back on her Island, Sara was one of the principal dancers for a professional dance company that specialized in classical ballet and modern dance. After moving to the U.S. almost 20 years ago, Sara was drawn to the Art of Belly Dance and has since become an accomplished professional, teaching and performing in many important venues. Sara is a caring teacher and a giving performer: no matter what the context, she seeks to make sure that students leave her class with something to work with and inspires audiences to further pursue/appreciate this beautiful art form. Sara has studied Dance with many great teachers of the world: from Melina of Daughters of Rhea aka Melinda Heywood Pavlata, co-founder of The Daughters of Rhea Belly Dance Company & Cirque Passion(www.daughtersofrhea.com),and Moody Street Circus, to Milagres Paz (Ballet and Modern Dance) including workshops from Amar Gamal, Rachel Brice, Sharon Kihara, Zoe Jakes, and Piper of daughters of rhea. Sara is also a Pilates instructor certified by The Boston BodyWorks with Kathy Van Patten as well as a Yoga instructor certified by Barre and Soul in Melrose, MA. She believes the core is of crucial importance for any movement and overall health. And as much as she loves advanced classes and fast work, it's in the beginners class that she thrives as a teacher, helping her students move correctly and giving them a strong base from which they may branch out to pursue any style of Belly Dance they wish to.
